This is a project to aggregate and disseminate knowledge skills and experience on the independent production of chemical-free, land-free, low-cost food.
The Food diaries are the day-by-day journeys of people living in Egypt with limited space and water devising a range of low-cost methods to grow food crops free of chemical inputs. This project creates a forum for different people with various levels of experience to share their process and methods of how to grow food in environments and settings that were not previously used for food production. The Egyptian Food Sovereignty Project defies previously held notions that you need chemical inputs, agricultural land, large labor force, the state or capital support to produce and access your own food.
